El
proyecto “MAMI” del área de Extensión y Proyección Social de la Facultad Ciencias de la Salud , tiene como finalidad desarrollar y evaluar un modelo de
atención integral conformado por un conjunto de cuidados esenciales en salud en
las gestantes, el recién nacido, al infante y a la mujer en edad fértil, para
asegurar una maternidad sin riesgo, nacimientos seguros y comportamientos saludables
en la asunción de una sexualidad sana y la salud reproductiva desde la familia
y la comunidad.
Atendiendo a este objetivo, el 25 de mayo de 2016 los estudiantes del programa de Enfermería realizaron dos talleres lúdico educativos en las
instalaciones de CENDES los cuales tuvieron como temática: “cuidados del recién nacido y estimulación adecuada al
lactante”, dirigidos a madres gestantes. Se pretendió con esta actividad orientar a las madres gestantes acerca de los cuidados
generales que se deben brindar a los recién nacidos en el hogar, reconocer la importancia de
la estimulación temprana y las diversas actividades que pueden
realizar con los niños de acuerdo a su edad.
En la actividad participaron 25 mujeres, de los sectores 1,2 y 3 del barrio Uribe Uribe,
de la Ciudad de Sincelejo; se utilizaron ayudas como láminas ilustradas,
carteles, frases alusivas al tema, y demostraciones. Los asistentes se
mostraron participativos e interesados durante la realización de los talleres.
